Community Development
Invest South/West Corridor Managers
Launched in October 2019, INVEST South/West's goal is to re-activate neighborhood retail corridors that have historically served as focal points for pedestrian activity, shopping, services, transportation, public spaces, and quality-of life amenities for residents. In North Lawndale, the priority corridor is Ogden Avenue, running southwest from Kedzie Avenue to Pulaski Road. New Covenant is proud to be the manager of the Ogden corridor project.
Real Estate Development Course
In partnership with Raphel and Carlos of Duo Development, New Covenant is proud to offer a comprehensive Real Estate Development Course. This program is crafted to guide students through the intricacies of purchasing and rehabilitating real estate properties - both single-family homes and multi-unit buildings. Covering zoning, inspections, valuations, loan types, financing, and more, the course provides an in-depth understanding of the real estate market.
